Jefe’s Adventures: A “Meet Me” Type of Blog

Welcome to Jefe’s adventures. Writing, wisdom, and ideas from me to you!

My name is Jeff, I live the life I choose. It is constantly in creation. The main thing is that I try. I practice making myself the best version, best representation of my soul that I can.

A little background on the name… Jefe is a nickname. It is Spanish for Chief, like leader. My friends started calling me Jefe (HEFE) years ago, and it caught on. I imagine it’s more to do with Jefe looking like my actual name (Jeff) rather than people referring to me as a leader (I totally am though). As for my personality, some of my actions have earned the innocuous tagline “Jeff as fuck” meaning ~ I have done something only I would do.. Usually goofy and nonsensical ~ I deserve this name and wear it like a badge of honor. I put the two together to create my instagram name: jefe_af go find me for pictures and thoughts.

Underneath a lot of conditioning, I was already my best self.

So far it seems that when I make a diligent and persistent effort to be the best version of myself, everything else follows suit. It has been very rewarding. I would suggest that to anyone and even willing to help others do just that.

FAB ONE HANDSTAND.jpg

In my early 20’s I began to strive and work toward the person I wanted to be. Realizing through many efforts that, well, I can truly create my life the way I want it. Several years later things are beyond the wildest dreams I ever could have had starting out. The most interesting thing in reflection is that my “adult” life has been more about stripping things away than adding them on. Underneath a lot of conditioning, I am already my best self. There are many practices for “unlearning” the stuff that isn’t us. It is a messy and beautiful process and takes years. I’m still doing that shit. I love it. Part of me, a big part of me hopes it never ends. Cue - “be careful what you wish for” haha.

So, these blogs, they’re about my journey, practices, experiences, and endeavors. Please read them and reflect on yourself and how you can create this magic in your life (if you want it) because I really really want to help you discover it for yourself. Helping others and being in a place to do so is a huge part of my equation right now.

It took me many years to find this never-ending pool of goodness that is as simple as being thankful for what I already have.

Oh and if you find an “equation for happiness” let me know, because as far as I’m concerned, it does not exist. We are always changing and since the variables change it seems pointless to me to have an equation. I am investing in the journey and here is a really good tip for that: Think more along the terms of appreciating the life now. As it is. It took me many years to find this never-ending pool of goodness that is as simple as being thankful for what I have. I have found that material things are closer to the bottom and relationships, experiences, skills, and vision for a greater future are right at the top.
